OUR STORY
Since 2019 we’ve been doing everything in our power to create a unique small family owned Homestead with a priority of health and safety for each of our animals. Our Poultry and Emus are routinely tested and approved by the NPIP program. We also routinely have our goats vetted. As much as we love to show our beautiful animals we also fully understand the importance of biosecurity so we are a closed site that doesn’t attend swaps or auctions. We careful hand pick where we purchase any new animals and have strict quarantine protocols. This helps us provide our customers with the best livestock.
WHITE BRESSE
A unique bird that we offer at the homestead is the White Bresse. This breed imported from France is known for its tasty flavor. This is a dual breed bird that tends to lay a decent amount of light tan eggs per year and we have had great results with the hens being broody and mothers.
SILVER DEATHLAYER
One of our first breeds that we quickly fell in love with was the Deathlayer. A Breed that has had a challenging past that is listed as endangered in its native country of Germany. This breed is recognized in two colors- Silver or Gold. We have both colors to fulfill any needs.
GOLD DEATHLAYER

INDIO GIGANTE
A breed unlike no other! The Indio Gigante roosters tower over 3 feet tall while the hens are a tad smaller(not by much) in height. This breed lays a decent amount of medium sized light tan eggs per year. The breed originated from Brazil and is truly a unique and cool bird to add to your back yard.
EGYPTIAN FAYOUMI
A smaller breed that loves the word independent. This breed enjoys free ranging and dust baths in the shade. Although it has similar markings to the Deathlayers it is indeed a very different bird. With its single comb it tolerates hot climates but would need special attention in colder climates. Fayoumi eggs were imported to Iowa State University in the 1940s to work on a way to understand the Fayoumi genetics to better understand the reasons why they have a great deal of disease resistant to many diseases common in American poultry.
